I'm new to actually taking deer with a bow. I've been shooting bow for a long time ive just never jumped into hunting with it. Im currently attempting to shoot a deer but was wondering if someone could tell me about when the pre rut and rut start and when it ends...

The pre-rut will start around the 3rd week in oct, the full blown rut will be the first week in november usually when the gun season starts, last until late november each week it becomes slower and slower.

I'd say Mr Clean is pretty close.. Pre-rut is now. They are making scrapes already and tending to them. But any time you can get out in the woods with the stick and string is a good time.
