Went Out Scouting for Rifle Season

I cant believe I found a scrape while out in the state land we usually hunt. I did get a chance to see three deer and I walked up on two grouse sitting on a fallen down tree. Of course I didnthave the shotgun!After the two left another flew up from under the tree. What do you do?! It was just nice to be out in the woods again and be so close to a deer.

The only reason you saw the grouse was because you didn't have the shotgun with you, you know that right? Good to get out!!!
