Alternator on 2001 Grand Caravan

Hey Everyone,

I need to replace/fix the alternator on my Caravan and the first problem I have is getting the belt off. The last time I tried I couldn't figure out how the tensioner worked. Could anyone give me a little tutorial on this.

Take the passenger tire off. Remove the splash shield. Put the open end of the wrench on the lug that sticks out of the back side of the tensioner that is up and to the left of the crank pulley. Push he wrench up to release the tension.

Thanks a lot Airjer! It went pretty well considering I had to take off a bunch of junk just to get the alt. out of the engine compartment.

Just one more reason I love FM!
