South of TC camping

Looking for suggestions for tent camping south of the TC only for the fact that I have never camped in southern MN. Looking for a place on a decent fishing lake, somewhat secluded spots and have showers. Anyone got any suggestions? I looked at some place called Mount Tower or something along that name near mankato that looked cool.

for what you're describing, Sakatah Lake State Park sounds like a good fit for you. I like Kamp Dels, right across the lake from it, but we have young kids and a large camper. the sites at Sakatah are pretty secluded.

Sakatah is nice. Watch out for the raccoons!!! Don't leave anything outside or in a screen tent. They really like nacho cheese doritos.
