It has been nice evenings to be out fishing.

I love these cooler evenings, but don't particularly care for the fog and moisture that comes with it.

The moisture can cool you off real quick, I have just been shore fishing so the fog hasnt been an issue for me.

Shore fishing, no bugs, a camp fire and a few cold ones, along with a little action makes for a great way to spend an evening!

Cats are very doable into late October on the Red River and it's associated tributaries. Just takes a bit of change in strategy is all. Quite often you catch them right along with the walleye on the same presentations. Jig/frog, jig/minnow, smaller cutbait offerings, even cranks score cats into October.

My mode will slowly shift towards walleye starting about now, and watch for cats agreeable to play all the way tell ice up.
