The vast majority would simply have driven past a scene seeing nothing more than an little "pot-hole" slough with some dead trees in it.

This is what I seen as I drove by...

The sun was low in west. It had only recently appeared from behind the clouds which in turn illuminated the "dead" trees and darken the skies off in the east. I had to stop and shoot it!
