I need to know what has happened. Our riding lawnmower is hurting. A 12.5 Briggs that was running good, my wife turned the throttle to idle, after a short time of cutting, then turned off the key. A backfire and that was the end of it. It turns over very easy and back fires only after turning for 10 or more seconds. Compression check did not even register. Lots of oil in the OHV cap. When I checked it was coming out from the valve guides at a high rate when turning over.
This machine is about 18 years old and only used as a backup and sometime pasture mower. I think it’s hatched, but before I junk it (it’s not worth putting money into) I thought I would ask and see what anyone thought.
PS: Who accepts something like this in the Duluth area, the landfill or some other spot?
I did buy an Minnkota Ulterra, thanks for the recommendations. I had a bunch of Cabela"s bucks saved up, which helped. Now i need to
get an onboard battery charger. Where do you guys mount these things in your boat? The manufacturer I am looking at {Noco genius)
says tht their 3-bank charger will run at 160 degrees, seems like a lot of heat in an enclosed compartment? Thanks for any input on this.
Wasn't terrible at a state park beach. Antelope island maybe. I wouldn't recommend it as a beach destination tho. Figured I was there, I'm getting in it.
The water looked and smelled disgusting with hundreds of thousands of birds sh*tting in there. About as gross as the Salton Sea. When I duck hunted there I didn't even want to touch the water.
It's kinda gross with the algae in the summer but I got in it anyway. Wanted to see the increased bouyancy at work. You can kinda tuck yourself into a ball and you'll just float with your head above water. When dry off you look diamond encrusted with the salt.
We went to the flats too. I dipped a tire on the rental car onto it just to say I’ve been there, but it was still pretty soft from winter melt. After seeing some moron in a BMW suv get dragged out of the muck I had no intention of repeating his stupidity.
