ricqik
Why don't you just buy some koi from the pet shop and put them in there. Nothing like catching a colorful fish. But carp or koi will root around everything and muddy up the pond. So you'll end up with a weed free pond mud hole. But before doing so, make sure you pond cannot get flooded and they escape and is the pond completely within your yard?

rockman
Page 9 of the DNR regulations book states tht you need a DNR permit to legally transport live fish from one of body of water to another, for purposes of transplanting those fish.I would go with the recommendation of using Koi to avoid any problems, unless you are going to obtain a permit.
