Markley
I have a Minnkota 50PD trolling motor and it shuts off randomly. I let it sit and it works again for 10-15 min. I do have auto reset breaker on the positive. Any suggestions?
0 wplatehunter
I had the same problem. The trolling motor is to small for your boat. Mine would shut off when I was running it on high speeds or in rough water, and than turn back on after the breaker kicked in. I got a 70pd now and have not had the same problem. Going from a 50pd to 70pd is very nice. There is a lot more power. I have not had any problems controlling the boat in rough water.
0 Sandmannd
Does it do it in hight speed only? Mine does the same if I have it on 9 or 10. Other than that it works fine.
0 Tom7227
Might be that the breaker you are using is too small. I can't remember the proper size but I do know that they re-set after they cool off. Look at the specs for the motor and then look at what you have and see if that's it.
