Anyone ever use sonar on their float tube?

I've done it a bunch of times. I used to use an old eagle portable LCD, but now I use either my vexilar or marcum. For either the vex or the marcum I just bungee cord the Marcumice fishing softpack or blue Genz pack right to the tube and let the transducer hang over the side. The system works well. Anyone else do anything like this?

Not in a float tube but I use my vex in my kayak. Nice to know what depth I am fishing at.

My son has an attachment that allows him to use his Bottomline Fishing Buddy locator on his little "pontoon" belly boat. It's pretty slick - even a side finder on it.
