Wish-I-Were-Fishn
Be careful out there this weekend. With the late ice-out the hazard markers may not be out yet!

NCLaker
Great reminder. The lake I live on has a few spots that will shred your prop and are not close to shore. They are in the middle of what most would assume is far enough from shore to be safe. As of today they still do not have the hazard markers out yet.Definitely look at your lake maps and bring the extra prop & tools before you head out on the lakes. Write-Outdoor
Just remember...on lakes like Vermilion, Rainy, Crane and other waters with tons of rocks.....they aren't all marked ever and even if you have a chip with one-foot increments they aren't all marked! If you are on Gull with me watch out for the Rock Island. If you see a ton of boats in the middle of Gull, don't go running through (especially on the east end). There are rocks just under the surface!

First time on a new lake I take it easy and do some exploring. Make sure you know a lake before you go full board out.
Wish-I-Were-Fishn
If they are not marked on the GPS you could spend a lifetime on a lake like Vermilion just idling around.
