I need some external parts for my older Merc outboard. Does anyone know a good place to order them in the North Branch area other than Hallbergs?

Try Big Deep Resort/Tim's Outboard Repair at Hackensack. I haven't ordered anything from them for several years, but the times I did, I just called them and told them what I needed and they sent it. I was happy with them.

Twin Cities Outboard in Shakopee is your best bet. Otherwise, I have heard of a place in Grantsburg that has lots of older boats and motors that might be a resource. I can't remember name.

I recommend that you just buy a brand new motor - a new four stroke.

Dimmerman's in Forest Lake has been great every time I've needed anything. Fast service and they are real honest about what needs fixing. The counter people have been helpful with I am trying a DIY.
