I was wondering some of the rules. sadly i dont know much about bowin carp. can I do this from my Boat? Is there a season? Limited waters?

The regs are posted online or in the licence book but here are the big ones....

Arrows must be attached to the bow with a line.

Bows must be cased or unstrung while using the gas motor.

Sun up to sundown.

Dont shoot gamefish!!!

I'm pretty sure it starts May 1st, but grab a rule book, don't take someones online statments as fact, it will only get you into trouble.

Just checking if Bowfishing is also allowed by regulations for non-residents. Have been coming up for about 30 years to a lake loaded with suckers and redhorse. Thanks in advance for the info.

Not sure for the non res, but yes it starts on May 1 and runs through the entire spearing season. You can do it from a boat but bows must be cased when moving with a gas motor, but you can shoot them while using an electric motor or if someone is paddling.

I believe you'd need a non-resident angling license to bowfish.
