So quiet that I could hear a mouse fart in this forum lately, whats going on with you all?

I'm waiting for the river(s) to come down a bit here in EC to do some walleye and perch fishing. Tinkering in the basement with some new musky bucktails and spinnerbaits. Have to put some new fiber optics on the shotgun for the gobblers. Hitting Shell L the weekend of May 17th if anyone wants to stop and say hello and swap [PoorWordUsage] or fishing reports. Also trying to put a musky trip in the books for MN or Canada....don't ask why not WI!! Got the tiller ready for the food plot, also gonna bust up some new ground. Get the chainsaw out and Roundup and 2,4D. Will put some rye in this fall to get things rolling. Still looking for a lab pup if anyone knows of some ready now or soon. Wanted to hunt mule deer out west but it just didn't pan out. Put in pref points in CO for elk and deer and shoot for next year. Money tree didn't blossom this year so I'll be shooting the oldie but goodie bow again this fall. Gotta call my buds and see if they put a first season gobbler to rest yet. What you been up to? Later.

starting the last 6 weeks of school, the kids want out now, and I think the teachers do too. last day of school is June 6th, I will be at the birchwood cafe with my dad and brother on June 7th around 7 am for breakfast and then spending 3 days laying waste to the fish on red cedar. With spring so late this year, it will be interesting compared to last years heat wave.....

Then I will be home with the three kids all summer. Hoping to get out once in a while to knock the rust off the hooks.......

Don't worry, I'll have a write up and pictures again this year from Red Cedar. Hopefully with more 15"+ walleyes instead of all the 13-14"ers we caught last year..........

Keeping busy just getting started with a 8 x10 deerstand. Uffda.

Cooter, I know of a person that will be having yellow labs soon. They are not cheap, but they have a great hunting line and are very good family dogs. From Eau claire so not far.

Let me know if you are interested and I can give you more info.

Pups at a reasonable price are hard to come by but they can be found with patience lots of it. I myself was extremely lucky like hitting the lottery when i got my Black lab. I was going into the grocery store in Chetek and there was a lady on the back of a pick-up truck selling pups . I went over and sure enough black lab pups. I asked how much she said $25 all I said "was yea right" then she explained the situation a neighbors dog a few house down from her got loose and bred her female lab who was on a long cable leash.Well when she approached the guy about papers he wanted nothing to do with it because it wasn't "a planned breading".So there she was and I got one and my son got one as well. I even called the guy as she gave me his number and got his wife who was not happy that he wouldn't cooperate and she even emailed me the papers on the father. Thats why I say lottery.

Cooter if ya tell me what your looking for I can keep my eyes open up here.

Hey Guys, haven't been on here for awhile. Spent two months on Kaua'i, then home for 6 days, then up to LOTW to work on the addition and remodel of the cabin. And of course fish the RR run. That was another month. Heading back up right after fishing opener (WI) to keep on the remodel. I hope to have it done by Memorial Day, put I'm starting to believe that's a pipe dream.

Just thought I'd let you guys know that the bag limits on walleyes has been reduced to two on Red Cedar, Balsam, Chetac and Long, just to name a few. Ceded territories, you know.

Now to get an order together for Rollie and Helen's, and make a run to Crazy D's. And my turkey time is next week.
