Prairie Chickens again

Here are few chicken shots from yesterday.

Hamden Slough NWR has some mornings open for using the blind. If you are interested the phone# is 218-847-4431. The chickens should be doing their thing until sometime in May.

The MN Prairie Chicken Society has a web site that shows the viewing locations. http://www.prairiechicken.org/viewingopportunities.htm

I am told that Buffalo River is the best.

Most of the viewing oppurtunities are from Crookston to a little south of Fergus Falls.

I enjoy going, it is nice to see these birds making a comeback. The MPCS and DNR are doing a good job preserving and promoting chickens.
