You've either got a juvenile Cooper's hawk or juvenile goshawk. They are pretty close in size, and there is size variation even within species, so size isn't the best indicator. Since the juvie goshawk has a strong white line over the eye and the juvie Cooper's has a buff-colored head, as well as a couple other more suble field marks, I'm going to lean toward the Cooper's.

There is also the slight possibility it could be a sharp-shinned hawk. The only difference between the immature SSHA and the imm. COHA are size and tail shape. The SSHA typically has a squared tail were the COHA's tail is rounded. But I would agree with catfish and boat fixer, probably an immature cooper's hawk.
