Topwater colors

As someone said earlier, I think the lateral line has more to do with it than we are giving it credit here. They have 2 right? Under the chin and the other down their side? I don't really know the sensitivity of them and if a fish is comming up from 10-20 feet down, does it effect the strike? If the lateral line senses the strike then it could be a beer can on the end of a line and the Muskie will smoke it. But then again it would probably smoke the can anyway if it was in the right spot.

The more I think about the tendencies of these fish the more I confuse myself!

I still have to say that color is unimportant when it comes to topwaters. But if anyone thinks that it does matter and it gives you confidence on the water then more power to ya.

By the way, any of you guys see the new Super Humper?!?!?

Also, take a look at the Water Maccasin from Musky Safari. If you haven't seen it, it is bigger than any other walk the dog bait and it is sweet!

I was reading an article where a guy uses planer boards to get his topwaters close to shore without spooking fish. He said he had two different muskys take a swat at his planer boards last year....... So really, I think if a fish is hungry or angry he's gonna eat anything that even remotly resembles food. Regardless of color. Who knows though. Thats why musky fishing is fun.
