I like to use a 1/4 ounce rattle spoon tipped with the head of a fathead. If they are chasing it up, try shaking or quivering the bait as you are bringing it up. If they don't hit it, drop it below them, fast, a foot or so. When they start to come back down, quickly bring it past them and above about six inches and jig it aggresively. Try to get em worked up. Good Luck

There are those days. I have really great luck using a green ant jig with a wax worm. any visible hook and they will not hit. I fish the jig vertical, turning the hook on the knot so the hook is up. Use small baits if they are not aggressive, upsizing if necessary. I've caught many on a tiny sweedish pimple with a wax worm on the hook. if they're chasing hard, it works, usually high in the water column. Size 8 moon glow in black with glow underside hung vertically is my second go to. I usually run a flasher with a 18 inch leader to the jig. If they are chasing the flasher I go to the pimple and do well. Keep experimenting, it'll work somehow for you. Brent
