08 Ice Montage

Dark Cloud

Recommended Posts

Our ice is about shot. Maybe a trip or two left for some of us. It was a great year with family and friends. No complaints - we were on the ice in early december and it lasted till april. Trout season starts april 1, so im happy! grin.gif

Put together this photo montage of myself, my father, girlfriend, and most of the guys who are regulars on the NY forum I fished with this winter. Enjoy...

Dark Cloud,

I loved your ice angling montage. I was especially impressed by the size of some of those perch. I did not know that NY lakes could produce such brutes. Are you at liberty to reveal the lake you caught them on?

Thanks guys!

Duck2 - we have some phenominal perch fishing out here for numnbers and quality. Probably a half dozen diff lakes this winter that we caught fish near or over 13 inches from. Oneida and Canadarago are two i'll mention as they are well known and big. The other lakes are too small to mention. The biggest in those pictures was 14.75 caught in NE Pennsylvania on a small public lake. That was an ooops though - that fish came at night fishing crappies.

The finger lakes area is really known for some slobs. One place up there has a perch contest here soon. A 14 inchers dosent even get a second glance, well over 15 wins it each year...
