MUSKY18
So how many of ya are going to spend some time up on LOTW this summer? I will be making my annual trip (now that I am back from Iraq and can do it) back up to Ash Rapids from 12-19 July and then going back up for Operation Muskie from 5-8 August in the Northwest Angle at Bay Store Camp. Only 107.37 days, or 2, 055 hours, or 154,636 minutes til we arrive! CAN'T WAIT!!!!!
Scoot
I'll definitely be up there. We got to a lot of different areas and spots, depending on how the wind blows us and what we feel like. Not sure where we'll head for this year, but we'll likely start out in Sabaskong, probably towards the West side.
Lals
Bret,I have been going to LOTW for 8 years now. I go to Red Wing Lodge in Morson. It will be the first week in July. It has taken awhile but I am having some more consistant success on LOTW. But it is Musky fishing and it is still unpredictable. For example, my brother and his friend took out this guide who is absolutely "money" and they fished hard and didn't see a fish and got back at 8:30PM. I was out with my son and we experienced the same thing but at about 8:30PM I had a very hot follow and I kind of messed up as the fish had it's mouth open and gills flaired but never struck, the next spot I catch a 46", the next spot my son get's a 45" and then I miss one on the next spot. So all of the sudden there was a feeding window. I can't imagine how many muskies saw our lures for the other 12 hours of fishing we did! I was talking about the upcoming trip with my brother and son just this past weekend. It is a special place.BTW, I think it is great what you and bunch of Musky pro's are doing for the Vets and Walsh's Bay Camp.
