You guys worry about a hook being 'too' sharp when fishing wood cover?

I never hooked a piece of wood after I switched to circle hooks. That was in the Red River for channel cats, not for flats, and the circles I used were Eagle Claws with so little gap it was a wonder they hooked anything at all, but they always hooked the cats and never hooked the wood. I don't know how circle hooks with wider gaps do in wood.

No, I worry about it getting to dull in wood cover .

Sharper the better. Either sharpen the current hook or replace it every couple trips. Cheap insurance.
