SuddenlySummer
Post your quick little tip you may have when it comes to ice fishing.Mine is that I carry a plumbers propane torch with an auto light feature. When I'm scouting out the depth of an area with my fish finder on top of the ice I don't need to carry water with me to wet the ice to get a good reading. I just melt a bit of it. Steve Foss
Adding a length of pipe to the sleeves on the skirt on each side of my trap II made my life much easier. I hear chain works even better, so that's next. ------------------"Worry less, fish more."Steve Foss[email protected]
EBass
#1. Get fresh air often! #2. Have a seat with a back rest! #3. Make sure you're pockets are closed before you bend over to check the hole/pick up fish! I just put on some chain on my skirting. Thanks BackWater Eddy! And I second the yellow snow
willowcat
I have an older auger,to keep ice build up off I put some petroll jelly around the blade base. Also works good to put some on the eyelett tip of the rod and top portion of the line to keep from iceing up. On a windy day cary a small river style boat anchor with 6' of rope. Drill a hole about 4" to 6" attach one end to your house put the prong of the anchor into the half drilled hole. Make sure the hole is upwind.
