Nice choice on the T3.

If you still have your 710 and want to get rid of it, you may consider donating it if you can't get what you'd like on an outright sale. I have won some guns that I did not need, and have donated them to a local banquet like RMEF, NWTF, DU, etc and received a donation slip for a tax deduction.

As far as a $300 gun on an elk hunt, I hunt with a Savage 111 in .338 that I just love. It is simple, ugly, but deadly accurate. I think I paid about $290 for it 12 years ago. I did put good glass on it(Luepold) however.
