frogtosser
howie, couple dogs, some form of cowgirl, thats all I can think of now, I will wait to see the other new lures there.
Rebel9921
I had saved up substantial amount of $$$ for the Expo... Hopefully my 2 custom rods from Pro Edge will be done by then... along with 2 other 8'0 rods for my lonely reels... Besides the rods, I'll be purchasing new net, one more reel for the new custom rod, hook pick, bump board, couple cowgirls, super-cowgirls, showgirls, Pacemakers, super topraiders, topwalkers Bulldawgs, Weagles, DC8, DC9, DC10... if I still have some $$$ after all that I'll get some Hawg Teasers, Hellhound, Jackpots, and either Mayhem Cyco Spinner or Musky Bling Spinnerbaits... and I'll also probably go for 2-years subscription to Musky Hunter magazine... March 7th-8th will be like 2 christmas days for me in a row...

Rebel9921
Wheelbarrow??? Now thats an idea... but personally... I think if I just drove thru with my truck, it'll be whole lot easier... That 8'x6' box could fit so many things... I was more of thinking that I would probably be mistaken for Dagwood after one of Blondie's shopping spree... I just hope I dont bump into someone and embarrass myself...I already formulated an attack plan... Friday would see me with BIG things such as net, tackle box or plano boxes, rods and such... then Saturday would see me with whole bunch of lures and small stuff... But then again... I never been there so I dont know if my attack plan would work... We'll see how it goes...
Esox_Magnum
I'm picturing kid in a candy store. I know my first time was like that.
frogtosser
you could carry your lures in your tackle boxes when you buy them, and then put your tackle box in your net and carry that over your shoulder like a hobo.

Rebel9921
A kid in a candy store??? More of a kid in a toys store... You'd end up wanting most of the things there but can only go home with 1/4 or 1/8 of what they have...
cjac
Hi, I'm looking to pick up a release tool called a hook pick, kinda looks like a dentist's tool to be honest. It a long shaft with a sideways "S" hook at the end. When a fish inhales a bait and it's deep these really help to back a hook out and can make the difference between a successful release or not. I'd encourage you all to look at your release tools in general and make sure you have the needed tools for a release once a fish hits the bottom of the net. Last year I upgraded my net, hook cutters, and added a float stick to get an estimated length. I cut more hooks last year than ever before simply because it makes it so much easier on the fish and me too, no ER visits for buried hooks! I'd encourage you all to take a look and make sure you have all the goods for sucessful releases too!ChrisPS Oh yeah, picking up a rod KT Pro Edge has for me too! TomWehler
Dudes...look at hook pick.....but make yer own. Save money...buy some land. Been using one my own making that is even better long time now. Anyone has a kid on metal shop can get them or bend a few up in yer garage. Lots of cool ways to do the handle too. ERC Matt G. used to sell a ToothPick -- I still have that sucker. But use imagination on some stuff...makes it more fun.... Make one up yer self here on this one. T. cjac
If only there were enough hours in the day to make my own! I've honestly looked at the toothbrush in the AM and thought.... "that might work!" Chris
Rebel9921
Yeah, Chris... Thats what Im doing... I finally RESOLVED the boat ownership dispute yesterday and will be getting the boat out of storage once snow melts and go straight and work on it to make it usable and etc etc... My first thought was to outfit the boat with release tools, which is why I made the lures last priority on my wish list... Im thinking about getting two hookpicks and one more Knipex cutters... Less than 9 days left...
cjac
Caongrats on the title! Good luck with the boat facelift! If you already have one pair of Knipex, I'd say that's $50+ that could go to something else vs. a 2nd pair. Keep the boat organized and one set is good for the ride. I only mentioned a 2nd pick for my fishing partner's boat on the other side of the metro, we switch off rides in the summer after work.Chris

Write-Outdoor
Maybe I've lost my mojo...but it seems like some of guys are less willing to wheel and deal than in the past. My first expo you could wheel and deal with everbody....the last two years have been tough though. Maybe word got out about this practice and people at the show decided to post their best price and not wheel and deal so people don't go back and whine when they find out the deal their buddy got. It's too bad though. It was fun for the seller and buyer to see what you could arrange. Any thoughts?
