Hummingbird 997 or 797

I am looking at buying a new GPS/sonar. Anyone have good or bad to say about these units that have used them???

I found a good deal on a 797 late last fall. I got it mounted on the boat the same day I winterized it.

Never got to try it out, but others said it was a good and useful toy. Some said the 997 was better with the larger screen but the double cost was prohibitive, but no other negatives that i can remember.

I have both units on my boat and they both seem to work the same. The screen on the 997 is much eaiser to view because of its larger size. I primarly only use the graph feature on the 797 and run the SI and GPS on the larger unit. I have been very happy with both. Good Fishing!!
