I took the dog for a walk around the little lake here in town this morning and it is about half covered in skim ice.

It won't be long now

Yeah, I almost slipped down the steps outside lastnight...because there was ICE on them! Now only if the lakes will cooperate and everything will be fine

Yep its coming boys! I dropped a big greenhead this evening on the ice and he didnt even break through!!! My dog busted it up ok but its sure does get you pumped to see it! I think ill spool some reels this weekend and go through some tackle, i got the itch.

You guys are killin' me. Right after I go deer hunting this weekend, I'm shifting into ice gear. I seem to run better in ice gear. I feel great in ice gear. And there's no downshiftin' until the ice goes out again.......T

Most of the smallest lakes and bays are frozen shore to shore in BRD., and we should have enough ice on these waters to walk on by Saturday. I suppose it is time since I have had to plow snow already. I am retying as I read.
