MNice
Does anybody have experience with this off set handle? I was wondering if it makes it that much easier than the regular one. Thanks, Jeff
Greg Clusiau
I had one a few years ago, when they first came out and went back to the regular style. It cut good but took a little getting used to. I guess I'm just used to turning my auger with my right arm, instead of using both of them. Good luck and stay dry....gc------------------Jaw Breaker Guide ServicePhone: 218 778-0087[email protected]http://fishtec.com/guide.htm
Surface Tension
In the ate 70's when Mora came out with the screw dual blade auger they offered it in both handle types. The offset seemed to fade away. The advantage of the regular style is you post your upper body stabilizing the augers rotation along with the ability of apply downward pressure. This eliminates wobble and increases efficiency.
Dark Cloud
Once you get used to useing the off-set it is awesome ~~ easier and faster. I have a Nils(off-set) and a Lazer that I added an off-set too a few years ago. With sharp blades almost no downward pressure is needed. Just remember, what one hand/arm does the other has to do the same....
