L_Cappo
all 4 drivers were forced to change engines because of a lifter problem likely caused by a bad batch of coating.but they were not the only 1's.Scott Riggs,Clint Bowyer also had to change engines.some toyota drivers also had to change engines.for the same problem. Denny Hamlin, A.J. Allmendinger, J.J. Yeley and Tony Stewart.these engines didnt blow up how ever but they were just not running right.dale jr's car was the 1st one to discover this problem.now they all start at the back of pack tomorrow for the duels.i know i'll be watching it. polarsusd81
If Johnson had to change his engine, does that negate his pole position?

NO as teams are allowed to change engines between the duals and the daytona 500. and i can see there point because how could you run all these races and practices and expect the engine to last! harvey lee
HMS cars can and will come from the back to finish up front. Plate races can and are won from any location on the track even in the last few laps.
