Tripleplay
Didn't use the crock pot this past weekend due to the amount of racks I was cooking so instead used one of the stand alone roasters like you'd throw the turkey in for Thanksgiving. Made four full racks due to a good sized group---very simple as I had these the weekend before at somebody else's house.-I cleaned a bit of the extra fat off of the ribs but not a ton. I tried to remove the membrane on the back side on one rack to see if it made a difference since where I had them the weekend before didn't remove it and honestly I couldn't taste or note any difference in the cooking.-divided each rack into thirds (5 bones) but could leave whole or divide any way you wanted.--salt and pepper to taste and then 7 minutes under the broiler on each side.-into the roaster on low (mine was an old one and I think I started out a bit too hot) and a small amount of BBQ sauce (your choice---I went with Sweet Baby Ray's and the previous week they had used Famous Dave's original)-I'd recommend adding some water just so they don't stick to the bottom and you get some steam helping in the tenderizing.-I cooked them for about 9 hours although they could have come off at 7 hours easily(maybe even earlier). Add some more BBQ sauce with about an hour to go just to sticky them up some.-I did turn them once but honestly don't think you have to if you don't want since some of them literally fell apart when I flipped them. This was so easy and darn good. I'm sure I'll add to it as I do this more often but it just doesn't get any simpler for some pretty darn good ribs for just a little bit of work.Irv
Valv
My wife just did some pork ribs last week, cooked the whole day in the crockpot, they turned out beyond excellent, I can ask her the recipe.

Jarrod32
Not the racks, but the boneless country-style ribs are excellent in the crock pot. Touch them up on the grill just to brown them a bit, fill the crock pot with your favorite barbeque sauce, add some onion slices (or a package of dry onion soup mix)...Make sure the ribs are completely immersed in the sauce, and cook 'em on low all day like was mentioned above. And don't even bother trying to get them out with tongs...they'll fall apart. Use a large slotted serving spoon.
