Is It Too Early To Get an American Idol Thread Going?

Lots of agreement this week. I thought the front runners slacked off a bit and the dead men and women walking picked up the pace. Kristy Lee could not have picked a better song. If she was born a year earlier or later she would most likely be going home but who can vote against America?

I think that David Cook has set the bar and I don't think anybody is going to catch him now, that dude can blow! Wild version of Billy Jean. I think he is going to out Daughtry, Daughtry! He is the new rock idol.

If I was picking who should be in the bottom three I would go with Ramielle, Rasta Boy (Castro) and little David, he did get away from the sappy ballads and didn't do the salamander licking thing but his song exposed the fact that he can't sing as good as everybody thinks. That being said, I think his teeny bopper fan base will keep him out of the bottom three so I will go with Ramielle, Castro and Chickeze as the bottom feeders this week with Ramielle getting tossed. Sorry that she was sick but sick or not she is one of the weaker links and deserves to get whacked. Let the games begin!

I have said from the beginning that Cook should win, and he proved it again last night. But, Daughtry was the best last year and got voted off....

Whether David Cook wins or not, he will be the top artist coming out of American Idol this year. Could be the top selling artist of all time from this show.

I am going to go with the same as TwinkeeDink. I think it really is a 3 person race, take out the nicey nicey [PoorWordUsage] and 3 of them can really sing. Archuletta, Cook, and Smithson. Yeah, Brooke has definate skills and is way too likeable, Syesha can really sing (at times) sometimes she is just ok though, song selection. And the rest are really forgetable. They really are. As far as singing skill, my top 3 are David Archuletta, David Cook, and Carly Smithson. Then Brooke on personality and Syesha, on apparent skill, just needs direction. One other note, although Archuletta can sing, I hear his stage Dad is a real GEM!!!! Too bad for the kid, he can really wail!

Muc - I heard the same thing. He is a slave driver that drives his little boy way hard. I heard that he has been asked to leave several times and has been barred from the set several times at different venues. Sounds like Michael Jackson's dad syndrome!

I thought David Johns did great. It was no Freddie Mercury, but then Cook was no MJ. They both did it their way and it was great. Love when the kids rock out. I get bored with all the others. They'll get voted out though because of the teeny boppers. I don't really see what folks see in little David, he can sing slow boring, but can do nothing else. I just don't think he's all that great of a singer.

I didn't like Johns alot either but he was the first to keep me from yawning all night. Archuletta is overrated but good. Cook and Smithson are still my favorites.

Just remember though guys, Cook wasn't recreating the MJ version he was doing the Chris Cornell Version. So it wasn't that original. But it was good.

Man, I'm way off my game! Went up to Mille Lacs perchin and that didn't work out so good...thought Rameile would go home and instead it's Chikeze...of the bottom 3 I picked, only Castro was there and lastly, I picked Marshal to beat Stann in their WEC match...Stan ate his lunch in less then 2 minutes.

Got two of three in the bottom and picked the loser. I didn't mind Chickeze but I don't think he has the appeal of the other contestants. Also, it bugs me when he smiles. His teeth look like they are too small for his mouth.

I get two out of the three bottom feeders correct but fail to nail the dead man walking. I thought Ramielle would be an odds on favorite for a whacking but Chickeze took the bullit. He was gonna go anyway but I think it was too quick. My wife loved him and was very dissappointed to see him go. Rasta boy got his wake up call but Sayesha was way wrong, that girl has a set of pipes on her. Interesting night but kind of weird as mentioned before with no Kristy Lee or Ramielle in the bottom three. I think Ramielle's clock is ticking and the voters are just waiting for a reason to dump Kristy Lee.

I thought Chick deserved to stay after what he did a couple weeks ago... but I guess people forget.

I'm fine with chickadee going, but out of Tuesday nights show, I don't think he was the worst. I think Ramielle or Jason should have gone. Here's the problem with the voters. It's not you and I that are voting, or if we do it's just the one vote. It's the little teeny boppers that love how Jason looks, or can relate to Ramielle because she's so cute or whatever the deal is. That's the problem, it's popularity and not singing. Even Simon told a contestant that if it remains a singing contest and not popularity he would win. That's why Daughtry got voted off. Best singer that year and gone cause the tweens don't like him.

I actually thought that this was Kristi Lees best performance and based on that she deserved to stay. She should go soon though.

I was wrong in my guess and I wouldn't have sent him packing, but I wasn't sorry to see him go....the others that should have went before him, will get theirs in due time.

He could sing a little, but the dude had an attitude it seemed? That and he was all up on hiself, interjecting his name in a couple of his earlier ditties and on a couple occassions, drawing down on Simon...I don't think that is in a contestants best interest?

I think the voting public likes Simon and so do most of the contestants. You notice they are always most pleased when he gives them a thumbs up. Even if Randy and Paula give them the okay, and they are on to the next round, they still want a good review from Simon.

alot of the voting i think has really nothign to do with how they sing, its about looks and things like that that make some people stick around longer then they really should. Not sure if its a good thing, but its just the way it is.
