Cutting granite walls

Wow St.cloud granite! How thick? Your gonna have to hire a stone/concrete cutting company,go out to a quarry and ask them.Make sure your rough openings are large enough the first cut.If it were me I'd figure 3 inches beyond RO demensions and double head,sill & trimmers on stone treated then PSF lumber.you may also need it engineered for a lentil or header,I'd go lentil to cut less stone.

There is a concrete cutting outfit in Clearwater, MN that I've seen on commercial jobsites cutting floors and precast wall panels. Granite is harder than concrete, the diamond blades they use require water for cooling and the slurry can be a mess. Might have to make cuts on both sides of the wall.
