Otter sled to pull kids

I recently purchased a snowmobile to use for ice fishing. My plan is to modify a Otter type sled to pull my kids (ages 4 / 5) on the ice, mostly back and forth to the ice shack while staying on a small budget. I would like to create a seat and some type of windshield to keep them warm and safe. Has anyone modified a sled like this or have any do's and don'ts ideas I should keep in mind.

Thanks

Make sure to have the rigid hitch like boxmn said. As for a windshield, you should be able to frame something out of wood and just use some cheap plexiglass. For seats, you could just put some wood benches up a little ways across it. I may even go a step further and put a boat seat on each one so it's more comfortable.
