here's another option I posted in the NY Forum...

Check your local Home Depot for SKU 135909.. Can't be purchased on-line at my HP but for a whopping $35 it has to be given a serious look its called the Dyna-glo Tag-a-long heater, kicks out 4500-8000 BTU. Run time is 3.5 hours at 8,000 BTU which most of us with traps will never need. Could be just the right amount of heat needed for your trap on low for those cold, cold days. Read the reviews and so far I like what I see... Size is 15"W x 15" H x 7"D, Manufacturer part number is: RMC-8001SS

Before you try a different heater, get some foil wrapped bubble insulation to line the ceiling. It really helps to slow the heat loss out the top of the shelter. Very easy to install.

Its called Reflectix, the 4 foot wide roll comes in 30 feet, I think, for 30 bucks or something. I put this stuff permanently into my Eskimo Quickflip II, ceiling and back wall, so it folds up with the canvas.

I run a Buddy heater and LED rope lites (so no other heat source), and I am fine below zero with banking. Reflectix is the way to go - and a lot lighter than thsoe $1200 insulated fish houses! The bonus is that the silver finish reflects all my LED rope light lighting downward, too.
