Otter Outdoors "Ice Camo"

I was wondering if anyone is fishing out of Otter's new "Ice Camo" fish houses this winter? I saw that they were released in December and was curious how the new pole system works, and if the canvas is heavier than the regular Otter flip-overs for those who have owned the previous Otters.

They sure look wild! The adjustable seating system appears to be a good idea too since you can move them forward and backward, rather that just side to side.

There is one problem with the setup.

The poles have plastic clips in them to hold them open.

These plastic clips get caught and do not hold very well.

Makes for a very frustrating setup and takedown.

Are you referring to the extra poles that you insert after flipping it over to make it more rigid?

No, I am talking about the hoop poles with the snap clips.

I'll have to take a look at them the next time I get a chance. I haven't seen one in person yet to go over the new features.

I think they are cool looking. i would not mind having one. Seeing how i own a Otter lodge now. and how tough and durable they are, i don't see myself needing a new fish house for a very long time.
