Does anyone know of software for H2Oc that I can hook up to my computer to bring up lake maps from a navionics chip? If so do you know the cost?

Thanks

I haven't done this myself so I don't know for sure if or how it works, but .....

I have heard that you can download the emulator software off the lowrance HSOforum, and if you have a card reader on your computer you can view your chip on the emulator software.

I've used the emulator, you basically get a photo of the unit on your computer monitor, with all the menu functions. I've never tried using a card in it though. There's no saving info or setting waypoints with this technique, it just lets you view your map chip on your computer. If you can get it to work.

What you need is the NavPlanner from Navionics. This card reader will allow you to take a Navionics Lake map chip and let you review the maps on your computer. You can also preplan and down load way points onto a separate SD card into your H2Oc. You can also print out sections of the lake map as well.

The NavPlanner runs around $129.00 on the internet.

This is a sample from Mille Lacs:

No...

The NavPlanner only works with the Navionics map chips.

If you want to use Lake Master maps you have to buy Lake Master Contour Pro CD. You can save and down load way points however if you want to view the Lake Master maps on your GPS you still need the Lake Master Chip.

It would be nice if you could read these SD chips on your computer with out having to buy additional card readers or mapping soft ware
