Hi, the secondary clutch is just slides on to a splined shaft and held on with the clutch bolt, however on these older machines if the clutches have not been off recently you may have a heck of a time getting the clutch off. There is a clutch removal tool for the back clutch that you may have to obtain from your local dealer if this is the case. I have seen them where the clutch is actually rusted right to the shaft in which case you in for some trouble. Anyway to answer your question, it should just slide right off the splined shaft. If you get it off, make sure to apply some anti-seize when you re-install, this will make life easier next time you take it off! Hollar if you need more help!

remove the center bolt and it slides off, be sure and watch for the small shims if any and the space on the back side of the secondary. be sure to notice how they come off so that you can replace it the same way.

you can also try to hit it inward (towards tranny) once or twice with a rubber mallet can break it free.
