Scott M
Anybody looking at new lures for 08? I'm sure there will be a pile after the Musky Expo.Saw an advertisement for Heli-Bulldawgs. They put a Colorado blade on the dorsal fin of the Bulldawg. Looks pretty sweet in the water, I just hope it doesn't interfere with hookups. Also saw there is a new super-sized Cowgirl being advertised as the biggest bucktail on the market. Pretty wild.Anybody seen anything else?
musky_tail05
The new Wild Action Weagle looks very sweet. I know some of those are gonna follow me home from Blaine! Llungen Lures has a new little crank called the Krusher. I saw some video of it from a poolside demo. Has a nice little gliding action when twitched. They also have double #9 and #11 colorado bucktails. Dunwright added a few more lures to their lifelike lineup. I might have to give them a try this year. Some pretty amazing action on those baits. Looks like a great year for new baits. Just wish I had more money.
50inchpig
Check the bargin bin at Thorne for the heli-dawg before you spend too much - that bait has been around for a few years but it didn't get much press until one of those tankers was kept, I mean caught, out of Mille Lacs on it this fall. Thorne had them on discount for quite a while, but I haven't checked in there in awhile.
Professional Edge
Mojo had some cool baits at the Chicago show. The Thumper pushes some serious water with the 4 10 Colorado blades.Howie was a big hit..so much a hit they were gone. That bait pushes water. AWH
I'm a big fan of Shack Attack's Curly Sue and can't wait to throw these a bunch. Kind of a late arriver to the scene in the fall of 2007 with the 11" version. But this bait is very well made for a plastic swimbait. Top notch all the way. His 6" and 9" versions of the Curly Sue are starting to hit stores now. There were some Curly Sues that were out early last year and some of these are still out there. But these are different than the ones currently being made. Different plastic and a slightly different mold as well.Aaron
Cooter
I saw a Lindner show with some double bladed musky bucks and also see Maina and crew has a new bucktail plus a rubber ducky style or two as well. Most shows must be over by now, what did I miss? cjac
Cooter, The big Minnesota Expo is in three weeks, so we're not done! I'll be picking up a Mojo Howie or two, looks awesome in the water, and probably will take a look at the super-sized double 13 bucktials. I'm sure there will be more new things to catch my eye, but will they catch fish? Chris
Muskiefool
I like to buy the old stand by custom baits that produce fish year after year, the latest and greatest just doesn't catch my attention anymore, look back over the last 3 -4 years and theres only maybe 1-2 fad baits that hit pay dirt, I like to give them a year or two before I buy them, of course theres always an exception. Esox_Magnum
My big ticket item for Blaine will more than likley be a new Edge from Keith. Maybe an Okuma to top it with.

cjac
If you're serious about a rod from Keith you may want to consider placing an order with him prior to the show, first come, first built. So, the earlier you're order is in the better. Chris
Rebel9921
Yeah... I have to agree with Chris on that... I placed an order for two rods last week and Keith told me that he'll never get caught up on his orders... and he also told me that he should have my rods read by the Expo but not going to promise me that... it could be later... I told him I am fine with that...
