Cat 500 2005

I bought a 05 500 a few months ago that has just over 70 miles on it, and the fuel gauge is electronic, and the gauge dont work, its always flashing on empty.

How does a guy go about fixing the problem?

Put gas in it .

well ya, we fill it up and its still not saying it sfull

Sorry I was just being smart. I am not familiar with the systems atv' use. On a car there is a float that changes resistance as the float goes up and down, and the resistance changes the voltage to the gauge to change the gauge. I am sure it uses same style. But I dont know, my atv has the same type of electronic gauge, but really never had a reason to see how it worked. Sorry I couldnt really help!
