big_fish_guy
The fishing community lost a great pioneer this past weekend. My 89-year-old grandfather, Vincent Wester, passed on to those happy hunting and fishing grounds in the sky. He changed the way many of us fish today by how he fished Mille Lacs back in the 20’s and 30’s. People use to what by shore and follow him and his brother out to the middle of the lake because he had a nose to find the rock reefs. In the winter they took an old airplane fuselage and put skies on it to get out and around. He taught many others and myself how to appreciate the good things. It was never how many or how big they were with him. The important thing is that you got out. He was a great man, and will truly be missed. Keep your tip up and your powder dry. Northlander
Men like your Grandfather leave us a lot to apreciate. Pass on to the youth what he passed on to you. God Bless and keep your lines tight.
Guest
Sounds like your grandfather was a good man. One of the reasons why fishing is so great is because of people like him. I'll keep him and your family in my prayers.Matt
