Cold Front Fishing?

Well im taking my buddies up north to my cabin this weekend to do some crappie fishing... will this brutal arctic front coming in on friday affect the fishing for the whole weekend? I would think it would either turn them on or shut em off.. What do you think? In case it matters most of the fish i catch are down in a 35 foot basin but suspend from 5-15 feet off the bottom..

Thanks for the help!

Ryan

i have my doubts if they are suspended. always seem to be active just have to try different techniques. sometimes a dead stick with minnow. If they are there sometimes a= i try to push the bobber down about tweo inches and behold new trick learned they ended up taking it. and also there jigging with waxys and minnow head and sometime tails.if not in the deep of the basin try in 15 or 14 of water during the day. sometimes they are more active when shallow

Your fishing suspended crappies over a deeper basin/hole, you will more than likely still find the fish there but they may or may not be suspended still. My guess is they'll be pushed towards the bottom more.

They will still bite but it'll be tough. Downsize, downsize, downsize! Look towards your smaller size 12 lures. If you are fishing plastics, go smaller and not so aggressive. A Spring Bobber is more than likely going to be the deal maker for you.

Well said by all above..you may need to drill some holes.. If they are not in the basin like they should be, drill some holes near the edge and fish near the bottom, they may be there.. and like hanson said.. if you are marking fish and not getting them.. Downsize. be sure to pick up some eurolarve. THey may want them over the minnows.
