fish on !
Hello, not sure if this is the correct place but im wondering if anyone has had this problem. My camera shutter wont open anymore, opens a 1/4 of the way and stops. The only thing i can think of is i took a picture doing 40 accross the lake so maybe a spring came loose. Sony gave me no support so before I get my mini screw driver set im wondering if anyone has run into this before. Any advice will be apprieciated. Dbl
First off welcome to FM! Its possible something got lodged in there when you were going across the lake. This may sound weird but you might try whacking the camera hard against your palm a few times. I know this has worked for a couple of folks including me. Outside of that it most likely will not be worth repairing so if you want to take a screwdriver to the shutter to now make it permanently open.....I have heard of this being an issue with the springs in the Sony's, I believe there is at least one HSOList seller who sells pieces and parts for some Sony models.Good luck, let us know how it turns out. DTro
I had the same thing happen with my Kodak a couple years back. I sold it on hsolist (people will buy anything there). Bought a new one.
