Bring on the ideas ONE and ALL :)

Hi Everyone! I noticed that I'm at post #666 again so I gotta change that or get bad juju for life!! so I was thinking that we don't have a lot of ladies or men for that matter who come on in and share/chat here. Does anyone have any ideas to make this Women's forum more active, fun, exciting (well besides posting racy pics-sorry! eek.gif)? Anything anyone would like to see changed (Lisa's non-stop chatter?) Seriously, maybe I overchat everyone!!

One idea is that we could have a bio stickied at the top of our forum to introduce ourselves?

Another idea is that ladies who hunt could share more. I've been interested in maybe trying grouse/pheasant hunting but am squeamish and super shy about asking about it (can I be the only one who feels this way?)

Come on let's hear any and all suggestions! Don't be shy....share! (sorry-being cheesy again) blush.gif\:D

Hey Lisa,

I don't post very often but check in frequently and love to fish. I think your idea about about bios is a good one. It would help us to get to know one another better. I was wondering if there has ever been a women's get together or the possibility of one?

While you are concerned about the bad juju for being at post #666, I was bummed out when I posted the other day under a different area and saw the word "stranger" under my name. I was worried that would scare people off and no one would respond to my post \:\( Anyway, thanks for all of the info that you provide.

mnfishinggal,

I sure wish I had given way more thought on my forum name. Yours is awesome. I really want to be known as Walleyespecialistchick or something grand like that!

LOVE the women's get together idea. Let's get some ideas on where? I'll get on the bios sticky today.

Don't feel bad about being a stranger. BTW, you're not the only person out there with that under your name. With all the forum changes we'll all get our normal titles again really soon. Mine is not right either. You're not scaring people off in the least. I think you're posts are great.

ANY MORE IDEAS ANYONE??!!

Well. I hate to be pounding the same drum, but you all are welcome to come to a meeting of the Minnesota Lady Slippers. We're the only all-women chapter of Pheasants Forever. We have monthly meetings and we're trying something new this year by having a guest speaker. The last one got snowed out and so we're trying to decide if we want to re-schedule with that person or go with the next one on the list. I'll let you know as soon as we nail it down.

The other thing you could do is come to Pheasant Fest in Saint Paul next weekend. Most of us from PF Headquarters are going to be working so stop and say Hi if you get a chance. There's going to be a ton of seminars. Check the list out at

http://www.pheasantsforever.org/page/1/PheasantFest.jsp

There's going to be a parade of hunting dogs at noon on Friday in downtown St. Paul. People really had fun with that last year in De Moinse. Too bad we couldn't do it in the skyway - someone was afraid of a mess. Hope to meet some of you down there.

Diane

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
