Sifty
Look's like the 77 will be locked into the first five race's.I don't think I like this rule. What do you guy's think?Sifty
lawdog
I think its a complete crock! Another abuse of the past champion's provisional. I don't like Hornisch one bit and I don't see why he doesn't have to come in like any new team has too. Earn your way in whiner boy!!!!
VMS
I don't like it either... It's tiring seeing as how NASCAR allows teams to protect themselves by these allowances. Wouldn't it be nice to go back to a "run whatcha brung" and if you don't make the race you go home. But...here again, NASCAR wants their pretty boys in the race and sponsors want their spotlight too...money over competition...sickening...Steve
fishinchicks
I don't like this either. I hate the top 35 in owner points getting in when some of their cars are not fit for racing (Robby Gordon). There was an opinion piece on the NASCAR HSOforum about that. Only two races all season had the actual fastest cars in the race. Hornish only made 2 races out of the 8 times he tried. Of course, Hornish's car owner is praising this development, and his team is now saying that he can prepare to run in the first five races instead of preparing to qualify. Why should there be a difference in attitude? You should come prepared to do your best every day.I think they need to take a look at the top 35 rule, and update it to fit with the times. Heck, they've messed with everything else!
