Metro Pike Activity

Haven't heard or seen too much, just wondering if the early ice PIKE bite is going and if there are any hot lakes right now to ice some good eater and pickling pike.

Hey Wade, I'll be out three times by Sunday, so I'll post by Sunday - but the pike fishing is always good in the metro for two pounders so I'm sure there'll be some reports soon!

The pike never shut off in the metro! Those greasers are always on the look out for a meal. White bear would be an excellent place to start if you are looking for picklers

If you try Battle Creek, go early. We were out at 7:30 this weekend & had the lake to ourselves until about 10AM. By 11AM I counted 15 people on the lake!

Where abouts do you guys fish out on Battle Creek? i was looking at the map on the dnr HSOforum and it looks to be pretty shallow. And also it says that there is an aerator out there, wondering where it is so i dont find out the hard way. I have a college buddy coming into town and he hasnt ice fished in a few years so i was looking for a good place to go to get action.

i believe the aerator is in the south west corner, not 100% sure though. as for pike location. look at the map again and take a guess, you should be able to find out. plus youll see where others are set up.

Hey bgreen82, my son lives in Cottage Grove also. Im up north by Duluth. Im going down in January to speend a few days with him. He fishes Bald Eagle for northerns. Im more of a crappie chaser. After were done with the northerns, could you tell me where to maybe start after the pan fish??
