Chains or Not?

Ah yes, another novice plowing question. I just bought a AC 500 TRV for plowing snow, and other activities. Question, should I put chains on the rear tires or not? Do they make that big of a difference for traction?

Yes, but not needed in most cases. It will seem slippery to steer.

They work good on lawn tractors, but there is little tread on lawn tires.

With a 500 machine and a 60-inch blade, snow will be coming over the plow blade anyhow so, chains wouldn't be much of a benefit in moving more snow at once, IMO.
