Cooling Fan Problem

Hooked On a Feeling

Recommended Posts

I have an '04 Polaris 330 Magnum and when I turn the key switch on the oil cooler fan comes on instantly, before the fan would only come on after the machine had ran for at least 15 minutes of riding, no service lights come on and the machine seems to run and operate normally, was wondering if anyone had an idea of what to check first. Thanks in advance.

make sure there's enough coolant in the radiator to reach the sensor that could be a simple fix.

if that doesnt work, check your sensors. short the one on the radiator by putting a screwdriver between the 2 terminals. that should make the fan come on. on the sensor on the head run a wire from the brass pin that has no terminal on it to ground to make sure your dummy light is workin too. that has nothing to do with the fan but while your at it it's nice to know it works.
