Early Ice Conditions

Getting to be that time of year where we'll be out chasing through the ice. Anyone with conditions in your areas please post them here. Be safe and good luck!

Got out in Bergland Bay last night for a few hours, picked up 4 eater eyes, 15-17inches plus 2 pike that were in the 28inch range. Not bad for the 1st time out this year. The ice was from 3-7 inches with about 14 inches of snow on top. So the ice is OK for now but this wet heavy snow is not good...

How did the recent snow affect the ice? It didn't sound like there was a lot, but even a little bit can make a mess of things...

Not sure if you consider 12+ inches on the ice alot this early but I do. We are used to alot of snow on the ice in Jan-Feb but not this early. Not good for the ice at all...

Same thing here, lots of snow on the ice with more falling as we speak.....supposed to get very, very cold over here this weekend (16-25 below) so that should lock up the slush that has formed.
