Giving Thanks

Isn't that the thing to do this time of year?

A post made elsewhere had me looking back and reflecting on some of my first posts here. It was fun to go back and read and see my progression from a total newbie Catman to only a slightly better one. And it only took 7 years.

As I look back, I realize what great people are involved here and some real friendships were made in the process.

So when it comes to giving thanks in this “virtual” part of my life. I would just like to take the opportunity to thank everyone involved here that contribute and keep this a great place to be.

I would also like to thank all the people the set a solid foundation in this forum namely FIshhead, Dark30, and BGR. I owe a lot of my catfishing knowledge to you guys.

As this forum continues to grow and catfishing becomes more popular, let's hope the next 7 years are just as great or even better than the last.

I remember the "birth" of the Catfish Forum here on FM...ah the good old days of hard catfishing science

If it was not for Fishing Minnesota and the Catfish forum, I may never have started fishing these great fish.

I owe a BIG thank you to many cat dudes on this forum. I cannot list them all as sooo many have helped me in the last few years.

Too many people to thank , but I have to give special thanks to Dark30 for showing me a few shore spots before I got the RP, and I still visit them on foot, Dtro for always being willing to hit the river at a moments notice( note:free ride in the RP ) and , while he doesn't have access to us on the web, yet, Jim Hooper for showing me the ropes of the river from a boaters point of view, and finally Rick himself, for without him and FM, I never would have met all the good people that share the same passion for cattin' as myself.
