waxworm
Has anyone seen or used a product that works to remove scratches from your GPS screen? I've seen a couple just searching on the internet, but most with mixed reviews. Just wondering if anything actually works.
0 Blaze
Try Meguiars PlastX polish. Worked perfectly on my H2Oc and a dozen CDs/DVDs that needed help. Got it at Fleet Farm, I think, but should be available in most automotive shops.
0 Macgyver55
If the scratches are not too deep, what I did may work for you. This may sound stupid, but toothpaste worked for me. My GPS had some pretty obvious/irritating scratches in the screen. (due to my own carelessness) I had resigned myself to the fact I was going to have to send it in to be repaired. A friend of mine told me he heard of someone else that had success using it, so I figured what do I have to lose? I must say it took a good deal of time, but with gentle rubbing with a soft damp cloth and renewing the paste as it dried out I was able to bring mine back to an acceptable appearance. No, it isn't perfect, but it is only visible at just the right (or should I say wrong) angles under just the right/wrong lighting. After I finished I put some Rain-X on and polished the screen and it looks good enough now to not bother me anymore.
0 Augusta
I applied a "screen protector" to mine. You can buy those off the internet. Works great! No scratches on my H2O and it's 2 years old.
