crappie todd
I see that the Guardian fish is still a subject to some. Non believers. Later tonight, I will tell another tale of the effects of the guardian fish. Some of you will become believers. Those catch and release fellow fisherman and even the fishn lady... but for now...... I offer the following. Believe in the guardian fish.. I am crappie Todd the originator of the tales of the guardian fish. True strories. Be a believer and understand. And you will catch more fish. "Fisherman with permanant fish houses can not out run the guardian crappie fish. Only those with portable fish houses."..... think about, apply it and be more successful. Cyberfish
><}}}("<---I believe I believe! I have seen the devastation caused by the dreaded guardian fish, like Ice shacks half, to completely sunk, even though the ice all around em was over a foot thick! Plus, I fish outta portables only and have never been tormented by this pernicious pescado yet!I guess that proves your tale, eh?
Cyberfish
><}}}("< ---I wonder if the guardian fish is related to another scary fish, "catfish hunter" from Grumpy old men II? Ice Hole
One of these days I will catch that gaurdian fish and have a little talk with him.(her?) I will blackmail the fish with its life to let me catch n release his brood. MuahaAHAHA ...look out gaurdian fish... I will get you one of these days with some unprecidented finessing. What is the gaurdian fish anyways? About a 5lb crappie?

Crawlerman
I think there are multiple Guardian fishes. One Guardian fish per species per lake. And yes.. "Catfish hunter" was defiantly a guardian fish.. just looked at the way he smiled at them
FishTracker
Hmmmm. I'm thinking about maybe training a minnow as a guardian fish assasin in my aquarium. I would have to release the assasin minnow with no hook or line attached before I start fishing. Wait about 5 minutes the start fishing. The assasin will be taugth to single out the guardian fish and lead it to the opposite part of the lake then go on stealth mode. It would then turn around and attack the guardian fish. Or maybe I could add that glow feature like them new glow waxies? It will just keep the guardian fish chasing it til the guardian fish tires out and gets lost at the other side of the lake. Any other ideas out there?
widetrack
Todd:Smoking a little rope eh?God forbid you actually go after a formidible opponent like the great muskie... they will drive you into insanity for sure.[This message has been edited by widetrack (edited 01-09-2003).]
Bobb-o
THE great muskie? the way they sit there in the water and stare at you i would've thought all muskys are gaurdian fish.....
Guest
By saying formidable opponent then you must be implying that Crappies are easy game for anyone.I guess all this time I thought I was GOOD at fishing, and here I am fishin for the "easy pickins" that ANYBODY can catch at any given time..And not just small ones, right? Anyone can go ANYWHERE and catch SLABS if they are present...D@mn Crappie Todd...We better go after the REAL fish and quit wasting our time with these pesky Crappies.Don't let any URL enthusiasts see this...They will be very upset for sure. Especially since the bite up there hasn't been very good...Maybe that's just an excuse, right?I am not gonna fish anymore tournaments either cuz it's just a waste of time.Panfishhunter, I am sorry for wasting your time. Good luck to you in learning the great Musky in G...Then you really will be the great angler.PCG[This message has been edited by Pro Crappie Guide (edited 01-09-2003).]
widetrack
PCG,I'd say that is a pretty fair analogy. Not that it doesn't take some skill to catch eyes/crappies etc... it takes far greater skill to consistently produce muskies. They are the top of the underwater food chain for a reason... That said, my original statement was in jest!
icehousebob
This guardian fish info clears up a great mystery for me. As a young man, I went for a late night swim with a case of beer and a female of the opposite sex. We were both too poor to afford swim suits. The night was a little blurry, but the next day I woke up with hickies all over my body. Now I know that I was attacked by a guardian crappie. All I remember was feeling really good. I think we should form a "Save the Guardian Fish Society."
panfishhunter
LADIES GENTS..you all have this idea the the gaurdian fish is a killer and destroys permant shacks..which is not true..what he is could be put as a king...the lead...the grand puba of all fish in the school...he has learned the most..and takes the most skill to catch..those of us who have seen beleive...those who havent are skeptics but one day will beleive when he comes up to you and looks you in the face and laughs....."haahaaa...you think you can get me..!!!!" Guest
I think Guardian Fish(Todd) and PCG need to get out of the house a little more. Maybe try some fishing. I heard it is really relaxing and helps clear the brain of crazy thoughts. Some call it therapy!!
Guest
This Guardian Fish character...I don't know who exactly it is...But he or she is pretty special...Have a forum leader track the ISP, cuz I know for a fact it isn't Todd. Todd is my father, the one who introduced me to Crappies when I couldn't even walk or talk yet. To him I thank because if not for him I wouldn't be the fisherman I am today. One thing....all this talk and b.s. is a joke. I better look up the next FM Fishing Event and attend. I want to meet some of you folks so we can discuss "guardian fish" PCG
Guest
Scott....Sorry..I have been out fishing for the last 12 days straight...It is therapy, and it is the EXPERIENCE that gives me the knowledge to post on this board.Skeptics never learn anything new. Nothing ventured nothing gained...Blah blah blah...I am still learning everyday about fishing...And the most important thing I learned was don't knock it until you've tried it.See ya on the water.PCG[This message has been edited by Pro Crappie Guide (edited 01-09-2003).]

Guest
I think Crappies that quit biting have been dubbed the Guardian fish. So i guess they do exist, you can call them inactive fish whatever you want. Bobb-o
wow i hope you were able to save that case of beer from the gaurdian fish they are notorious for stealing beer and getting anglers to drop their beer on the ice and in the hole, unless it was Bud if that was the case you are better off, no one needs to drink that much rice beer.
